The Windsor Community Centre has been developed to strengthen the local community, creating links between community members, groups, activities and support services. It is managed by Zig Zag and owned by Brisbane City Council (BCC).

The Centre is a hub for Zig Zag services aimed at preventing and responding to sexual violence and youth homelessness, and other wellbeing activities for young women, trans and gender diverse young people.

The Centre has a large hall with kitchen, deck and garden available for hire by local community groups, schools, not-for-profit organisations, businesses, and council and government groups running events or activities that promote inclusion, support and community wellbeing.

About the space

The Centre has a large hall space, ideal for committee meetings, team or staff training and similar events, a large deck and garden space with multiple seating areas. The facilities also include a kitchen with reheating options, a fridge/freezer and beverage making amenities.

Please note the site is not staffed outside of 9am – 5pm on weekdays.

Parking

Please note that parking behind the site is limited and spaces may be used by Zig Zag staff, guests and participants of other activities. There is plenty of street parking available.

Hire Conditions

  • Parties and similar events are not allowed.
  • Strict noise restrictions apply.
  • Alcohol is not permitted to be sold onsite.
  • You must hold Public Liability Insurance Policy for at least $10,000,000 and provide a certificate of currency before using the space.

Fees

Hiring fees:

  • $35 per hour (plus GST) – not-for-profit organisations and community groups
  • $65 per hour (plus GST) – Commercial and government

An after-hours fee of $25 (plus GST) is applied to bookings that start before 9am or finish after 5pm weekdays (excluding public holidays) and $50 (plus GST) for weekend bookings.
